GenCon Oz Cancelled!

Eventions Creative Event Managemant, the people that hold the licence to run the GenCon franchise in Australia, announced today that GenCon Oz would not be running in 2010. This was to be the third year the event ran in Australia, but as of this announcement the Brisbane Convention Centre will be devoid of girls dressed as their favourite manga characters and fat-bearded gentleman with satchels full of dice, come September 23rd. What this means for the future GenCon Oz and the Australian gaming scene in general is unclear.
