Episode 31 – Grab Bag
We made it to another episode. And you thought we had forgotten about you! This episode we are joined by Duff and we just shoot the breeze about what we’ve been playing and what we would like to play. We talk about a few board games we have been enjoying and then get into a discussion of Warhammer 8th edition.
We hope you enjoy the show. Remember to leave some feedback in one of the usual places!

A full-packed episode! Both Neuroshima Hex and Mr. Jack sound interessting. Speaking of sound: I guess you guys hand over the mics, so the loudness was quite different. And it had been nice if Duff would be introduced (I have a bad name memory
.
PS: It is really somehow pervert that a Warhammer import from Europe is so much cheaper that buying it down under. 72 (?) AUD are cheaper than the german price (60 EUR) on the current currency rates (no suprise that GW game prices are lowest in UK).
Hey Homisite, sound with three is a struggle. We have two good mics on stands and a cheap hand-held one that you need to be careful how you hold. We gave Duff the cheap one and in hindsight Marty or I should have taken it. Also, “Yes!” we should have intro’d Duff again.
The price of games here in Oz is outrageous and sometimes makes no sense. I really feel sorry for retailers.
A few people complain about episode where is just chatting about games that have been played and what-not. But I really enjoy them, the discussions are more light hearted and I think sometimes you actually get a better feel for if the games were fun. Which in the end is why we play them right : )
Good job guys

It’s important how you do this “watcha been playin’” parts. It’s quite boring when a lot of (video)gaming podcasts talk at length about the same games with no special point of view. But if you mention NEW/UNKNOWN games like in this HBG episode, it’s interessting.
Cheers guys, to be honest the “What we’ve been playing” segment is fun and really easy to do – we don’t need to prepare anything in advance, so long as we have been playing a variety of games!
We are hoping to get back to some reviews soon. There is only a thin line between our “been playing” and review section, as we often go into a lot of detail in the first segment, and our reviews are not as detailed as, say, the D6 Generation.
